The Atlanta Region’s Plan is a long-range blueprint that details the investments that will be made over the next 20-30 years to ensure metro Atlanta’s future success and improve the region’s quality of life. So, why does this matter? Feedback from these activities will be compiled to help regional leaders better understand the kind of future that people think we’ll face, as well as their biggest concerns. This feedback will be shared with regional planners and elected leaders to help refine the set of policies that guides the region’s long-range planning work, which includes allocating dollars for transportation projects.

The Unified Growth Policy Map (UGPM) provides direction for future growth based on the Areas and Places within the region. The UGPM represents local plans as well as The Region’s Plan policies and forecasts. ARC is in the process of working with local communities to update this vision for future regional growth.
